WASHINGTON — Vice President Joe Biden plans to come to Cincinnati on Thursday to see how the city is using some of its federal economic stimulus money.

Biden, tasked by President Obama with overseeing the spending of federal stimulus dollars, is expected to visit the Factory Square development at the former American Can Co. factory, according to one of the developers working to turn the abandoned can factory into apartments and commercial space.

Cincinnati plans to use some $1.6 million in community development block grant money from the $787 billion stimulus package on the project.

The White House would not confirm the visit.

And Carter sure decimated the military by developing the Trident Submarine, B-2 Bomber, Stealth Aircraft and cruise missles during his term. I'm sure that Obama and Biden knew the economy was pretty well wacked when they took office. I knew, and I'm not a congressman.

Continued::::: That leaves the government with the ability to spend enough to end the recession. Government spending has ended every recession since the depression. And yes WWII ended the depression by promoting massive government spending. Now as far as taxes, the stimulus bill lowered your taxes $400 this year and next. $800 in you are married. It would of been $500/$1000 dollars but Republican Senators demanded the $400/$800 level. I guess you weren't the right tax cut for them.

Tony::::I must ask where you get that anyone said anything about "taxing your way out of recession?" I think you must mean spending your way out of recession. Now any good economist will tell you the only way to end any recession is to spend more. Now in a recession, most businesses are making less so they spend less. Also consumers are spending less as unemployment climbs.

This whole Administration is a JOKE. The only thing they stimulate is their travel miles and party spending at the White House. And don't forget all the wonderful clothing the Lady of the Garden and her kids. As a black woman, I am ashamed that Michelle Obama is now known for her work in the garden.......like working on the plantation! This whole thing is a disgrace!

You and JG are what the Russians call "Useful Idiots"! for all your propaganda. Show an example of taxing your way out of a recession. Carter tried, didn't work, he then decimated the military, (and it's esprit de corp), to pay for all the social projects he wanted and guess what BHO is doing the same thing. If you think the results are going to be any different this time your wrong. BHO/Biden both knew the state of the economy, they were both sitting US Senators.
