MIAMISBURG — An early morning water main break in the downtown area has resulted in a loss of service until at least noon today in some areas of the city, according to Gary Giles, city spokesperson.
A boil water advisory has been issued for residents and businesses in the affected area and it will be in effect for 24 hours.
The water main break resulted in a loss of water service for approximately 275 residents and businesses.
The affected areas are:
•South of Linden Avenue to Rice Field between the Great Miami River and South First Street.
•South of Mound Avenue to Rice Field between the Great Miami River and South Second Street.
The boil advisory means that water used for drinking, cooking or hygiene should be boiled for at least one minute prior to use.
