Charges will be filed against an Arkansas woman who allegedly caused a crash Saturday, June 27, that killed two Warren County residents.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Josh Patrick said they planned to file two counts of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, among other traffic citations, against the driver on Tuesday, June 30. However, police and prosecutors are considering upping the charge to vehicular homicide.

Patrick said charges against Amber Rogers, 40, of Bald Knob, Ark., might not be filed in Lebanon Municipal Court until next week. At this point, Patrick said no aggravating circumstances such as alcohol or drugs appear to be involved.

Rogers was traveling south on Ohio 123 in Turtlecreek Twp. at around 8 p.m. June 27 when her Ford truck crossed the center line and crashed into a motorcycle driven by Aaron M. Adams, 26, of Waynesville, according to police.

Adams and his passenger, Amy K. Dorn, 22, of Lebanon, were killed instantly, according to Patrick.

“They weren’t wearing helmets,” he said. “But it wouldn’t have made a difference.”

Patrick said Rogers suffered minor injuries, but was released from Arrow Springs Medical Center the same night.

Rogers has been working on the gas pipeline under construction in Warren County and living at the Olive Branch campground in Oregonia.

“She can’t really remember much at all,” Patrick said. “She knows it’s a bad curve, so I don’t know if she was maybe doing something in the vehicle. There were no skid marks like braking prior to the curve.”
