As did Beavercreek City Schools, the city of Beavercreek recently won the Ohio Auditor of State Award With Distinction.

It is the highest award given by the auditor’s office for “clean” audits not containing any findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, single audit findings or questioned costs.

The award is designed to recognize those entities that file an annual comprehensive annual financial report and timely reports in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and generally accepted government auditing standards.

Fewer than four percent of the entities audited will receive the award for the 2010 audit cycle.
