DAYTON — A Xenia woman said she was robbed at gunpoint shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, in the parking lot of Rally’s, 1111 S. Smithville Road, while meeting someone to complete a Craigslist transaction.

Dayton police Lt. John Bardun said the woman went to the eatery to meet someone who was allegedly going to purchase the 5-carat diamond ring she’d posted on Craigslist.com. Instead, the woman reported being robbed of the ring by a man armed with a large revolver. He fled northbound on Smithville Road in a late ’80s red or maroon Oldsmobile.

Bardun said the subject is a black male, about 5 foot 8, weighing 200 plus pounds.

Sorry Angie, but this is the way people see Xenia. Are you aware that the welfare moms in Xenia can get a voucher to get their cars fixed? It is disgusting to the rest of us and if you work like you say then it should bother you as well.

you idiots.(JUDI) it just shows your stupidity when you think that every white girl from xenia is on welfare. i am a single mother of 2 kids in xenia and i do fine. im not on welfare. i have a good job, a house a car and my kids are well taken care of. so before you go judgeing someone based on demographics, get your facts straight. we are not all the same. have a great day.
