Downed wires shut down road temporarily

Crawford Toms Run Road between Westbrook Road and Brookville Pyrmont Pike is shut down temporarily while emergency responders deal with downed telephone wires.

Emergency responders were called to the area after receiving a report of a line that had possibly fallen on top or near a school bus that was occupied by students, according to emergency radio traffic.

First responders were able to clear the telephone lines from the area of the bus. They are waiting for the telephone company crews to show up to repair the phone lines.

There was no report of any injuries.

The area of focus is bordered by the city of Brookville and Clay Township.
