STAUNTON TWP., Miami County — Firefighters from four area fire departments spent four hours on the scene of an overnight house fire at 5725 Stringtown Road northeast of Troy that destroyed the home causing more than an estimated $100,000 in damages.
The residents were out of town and no one was injured in the fire, according to Ed Zalipski, dispatcher for the Miami County Communications Center in Troy. Zalipski said the fire was reported at 11:51 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17.
Firefighters from Casstown, Christiansburg, Fletcher, and Troy were on the scene, he said. They cleared the scene just before 4 a.m., he said.
