DAYTON — Two people were treated for minor injuries after firefighters responded to a call that fireworks caused a bedroom fire early Monday, July 5, in the 3600 block of Otterbein Avenue.
An investigator was called to the scene, said Lt. Mark Roth of the Dayton Fire Department.
“We are not saying it’s arson,” Roth said. “We are saying it’s under investigation.”
The fire was reported at 3:23 a.m. No damage estimate or cause were immediately available.
WHIOTV.com reported that a family living in the house reported seeing sparks coming through a fan in a bedroom window after hearing a loud boom. They told WHIO-TV they believe someone intentionally threw fireworks into their home.
