DAYTON — Light freezing drizzle greeted early-morning shoppers on Friday, Nov. 27, the traditional start of the Christmas holiday shopping season.

The Friday forecast called for cloudy skies with a high near 40 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast center in Wilmington.

Friday night will be mostly clear with a low around 30 degrees, according to the forecast center.

Saturday’s forecast called for sunny skies and a high near 53 degrees. It might be a perfect day for another annual holiday tradition — putting up your outdoor Christmas lights.

Joe, you should not have long to wait on gas prices going up. How can gas be 2.69 on Wednesday and 2.79 on thursday? Because I get paid on Friday? OR. They want the last dime in my pocket before I get paid on friday?

These people who are shopping do not realize most of the product is old equipment etc. Still charging, where the jobs ? If you keep this up it going to look like everything is going great. People wise up it is your last chance.

I noticed there was some frozen rain this morning. Ground is too warm to let it stay that way regardless of air temps. I didn't check to see if Channel 7 was forecasting doom & gloom. What I am waiting for is for them to make a news item out of falling gasoline prices so the gas stations can raise them again.
