TROY – Miami County health officials will turn to citizen volunteers to assist with H1N1 vaccination clinics.
People do not need to be health care professionals to help. Volunteers are needed to help with activities such as greeting, registering clients and serving as runners.
To prepare for the clinics, a Volunteer Reception Center will be open from 6-9 p.m. today, Oct. 27, at the Troy Senior Citizens Center, 134 N. Market St.
Those interested in volunteering should be at least 18 years old and bring a valid photo ID.
People interested in volunteering will receive information on the type of help needed and be asked to register if they want to volunteer. They will be notified by phone or e-mail to help when the clinics begin.
For more information about volunteering, call Shirley Swallow at (937) 332-8561. Information about the H1N1 vaccination clinics is available at www.miamicountyhealth.net.
