TROY — A Huber Heights woman accused of stealing more than $240,000 from a Concord Twp. business and using money to make house payments, buy clothes and pay other bills has pleaded not guilty to nine felony indictments in a Miami County court.

Jacqueline I. Skaggs, 43, is accused of taking the money from U.S. Koshin of Stone Circle Drive between Troy and Tipp City from November 2005 through June 2008. She was employed as the company administrative coordinator. The company is a distributor for Japanese manufactured goods and services.

Tony Kendell, an assistant county prosecutor, said Skaggs allegedly was taking cash advances from business credit card and bank accounts. The money was “for whatever she needed,” he said.

Skaggs was indicted in May by a county grand jury on one felony count each of aggravated theft and tampering with records and seven felonies of forgery. She pleaded not guilty in county Common Pleas Court, where a pretrial conference is scheduled for Monday, June 8.

She is free on a recognizance bond.

This place must employ a fantastic accounting firm if she was able to skim off that much money - over three years. I'd be looking to replace the accounting firm and her!
