The Kettering Police Department made several arrests during its seven-hour OVI Task Force enforcement Dec. 23.
According to Public Information Officer Ronald Roberts, there were five arrests for OVI, two for driving under suspension, one felony drug arrest and one misdemeanor drug arrest.
Officers also issued 16 traffic citations and 14 traffic warnings.
The department is planning another OVI enforcement period for 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. today.
Roberts said the Task Force chose tonight rather than Saturday night for enforcement because, in recent years, there have been fewer drivers on New Year’s Eve.
The police encouraged drivers to be safe and responsible during the holiday season.
