MIDDLETOWN — The right lane of southbound I-75 has been opened while

crews still work on cleaning up and investigating a multi-vehicle pile up involving four semis and a mini-van on southbound Interstate 75 at the Ohio 122 exit to Middletown, according to Hamilton Ohio State Patrol Dispatcher Kym Testerman.

The multi-vehicle crash closed southbound I-75 at 1:30 a.m.Wednesday, Oct. 14 and traffic was rerouted onto Ohio 122 at the Middletown exit. Hazmat crews were called to help with the cleanup of diesel fuel, said Hamilton Ohio State Patrol Dispatcher Debbie Griffith.

Griffith said at least two people, possibly three were transported to Atrium Medical Center in Middletown with non-life threatening injuries.

The mini van was severely damaged, so it may have been in the middle of the pile up, she said. The accident happened in a construction zone but she has no word yet of what caused the accident, she said, as state troopers are still on the scene.

They had to wait until the diesel fuel was cleaned up to open the right southbound lane, Griffith said.

My father in-law was in the minivan. Lucky to be alive. Amen.

Trains will not work in this country. Why do you think AMTRAK is subsidized by the tax payers? If there were a train, how would you get to your job? Walk? Not likely!Cab? Expensive!Bus?Another expense!Germany and others that use trains, cars and ownership is very high & the trains run close to towns,if not to the center of town.Where would a train stop? In beautiful downtown Middletown? At our bustling Towne Mall? Widen the flippin road & learn to drive!!

30 Years ago, I-675 should have been finished to the Troy/Piqua area from Medway. Trucks would use it. Being it (675) does not start "and" both end at I-75. It is improperly named. I-375 or I-370 would be more appropriate.

You must be kidding me Karon!

Build a railway by the highway when there is an existing platform?

Dayton Daily News: "The proposed Dayton stop is at the same waiting area and platform used by Amtrak until service here was stopped in 1979".

I have not priced what the cost per mile to build a brand new railway along the highway. . .

Have you?

I agree with the people on the train system. As I was coming home this morning going N. on St. Rt.741.I was stoping at the light at the intersection at Greentree rd. and some idiot passed me from behind turning left on to Greentree running the light.Thank goodness for the other drivers being cautios at the intersection. These idiots are the ones that need to lose thier liecense and ride the trains in idiots seats.I really believe they should have a section like this on the train.
