The public is invited to two separate ceremonies for both of the unit’s call to duty ceremonies on Saturday, May 2.
Troop B’s ceremony will be at 10 a.m. at the Urbancrest Baptist Church, 2634 Drake Road in Lebanon. Another ceremony for Troop C will be at 1:30 p.m. in Dayton at the Dayton Masonic Temple, 525 W. Riverview Ave.
Both units will mobilize out of Camp Shelby, Miss., where they will receive additional theatre specific training before they deploy overseas. Both units will perform convoy security operations while in theater. This mission is predominately focused on the escort and protection of ground convoys, according to the Ohio Army National Guard’s public affairs office.
