HUBER HEIGHTS — A homeowner was rushed to the hospital for treatment of burns after his house caught fire Friday afternoon.
The fire happened about 1:40 p.m. at 5892 Craftmore Drive.
Huber Heights Fire Chief Mark Ashworth said the homeowner’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Ashworth credited firefighters for keeping the blaze contained primarily to one room and part of the attic.
Unattended candles were suspected as the cause, the chief said.
The homeowner was the only person in the house at the time of the fire.
Firefighters from Dayton and Butler Twp. provided mutual aid.
