MIAMI TWP. – The Miami Valley Fire District named its first chief today.

Matthew Queen, formerly the chief in Miami Twp., will head the department merging fire and rescue operations for the township and Miamisburg.

Formed late last year, the new joint district is expected to become fully operational later this year.
