KETTERING — Timothy Grice, 20, of Miamisburg was indicted Friday on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and failure to stop in a fatal car accident in Kettering last year.

At 5:40 a.m. April 30, Grice was driving a Ford Ranger pickup truck when it reportedly struck a Jeep Cherokee stopped in the southbound lane at the traffic signal on Smithville Road at the intersection of Wilmington Pike.

The driver of the Jeep, 27-year-old Chad Cross of Kettering, was killed in the accident.

Kettering police reported that Grice’s speed and drug use were contributing factors.

The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office approved the third-degree felony charges following the Kettering Police Department’s investigation.

Grice is currently incarcerated at Southeastern Correctional Institution in Lancaster, on unrelated charges.
