The driver of a motorcycle was killed and the driver of a truck was critically injured after the two collided around 8:15 a.m. Saturday, June 27.

Sgt. Jeff Kramer of the Dayton post for the Ohio Highway Patrol said Ryan Mason was riding a 2008 Suzuki southbound on U.S. 127 outside of Eaton, when the driver of a 1936 Ford, custom pick-up truck going north tried to make a left turn into a private drive. The driver of the truck, Robert Shindeldecker of West Alexandria, turned into the path of the motorcycle.

Mason, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shindeldecker was transported to Miami Valley Hospital via CareFlight with critical injuries, Kramer said.

Favorite, your comment about the speed of the deceased is an idiot statement.Unless you had a radar gun, were on the back of the bike or know the findings of the accident report how do you know anything.Obviously, you are not man or woman enough to put your first or last name.I have given you my e-mail address so if you have another idiot statement or comment you may e-mail me if you have the courage to do so.I doubt you will.People like you never do.Oh,by the way..I am the mother of Ryan Mason

i knew ryan 4 only a short time as he came in & got parts for his triumph. We had talked about his recent losses & mine as well. i can tell you that there are some genuine good guys out there & ryan was with out a doubt one of those guys. Why him??? i just heard 2day that it was possibly him & I stopped everything @ work to find out if it was true. It's been a hard day. I'm in tears & my heart goes out to all. He was awsome & such a cool guy! I know things happen but it shouldn't have been him.
