DAYTON — Enjoy the cool temperatures and low humidity while they last, because Sunday is shaping up to be a hot, muggy one for our nation’s birthday.
WHIO-TV Chief Meteorologist Jamie Simpson said the unusually cool, dry weather we’ve had this week — the high was 76 Thursday, July 1 — will warm up over the weekend to near 90 on Sunday.
“By early next week, Monday and Tuesday, it will be 90 again and humid as well,” Simpson said.
Some storms are expected by Wednesday.
Simpson said today will be much like the week has been, then temperatures will start to climb gradually, with humidity “still tolerable” on Saturday.
Sunday will have some clouds but they should clear out in time for evening fireworks, he said.
