WEST MILTON — Six people — including five juveniles — were arrested by village police late Tuesday, June 2, following a home invasion at an apartment on Sanlor Avenue.

Police said four people dressed in dark clothes, hooded sweatshirts and bandannas entered an apartment at 1257 Sanlor Ave. about 9:40 p.m. and demanded money. A struggle ensued and the occupant was struck in the head with a handgun.

The intruders fled as police were arriving. They had been dispatched on a report of people trying to kick in the apartment door. The victim followed the intruders in another vehicle.

Police said they stopped the suspect’s car a few blocks from the apartment and in it was found a 9 mm handgun, police said. Those arrested included juveniles from Trotwood, Union, Englewood, Huber Heights and West Milton.

The adult, Michael Brown, 18, of Trotwood was charged with felony complicity and receiving stolen property. His bail was set at $80,000 on Wednesday in Miami County Municipal Court.

Hey Bulldog, if the surrounding communities you are talking about are the Northmont communities, you should know the Northmont area has higher income levels, higher property values, and better schools than West Milton will ever have
and one of the people was from West Milton

First "influx of trash from surrounding communities" is not an appreciated comment and truely not needed. I don't feel this is anyones fault except the parents of these kids. You act as you are taught. And these types of parents are in every state and every community, not just the ones surrounding West Milton. I agree with North Mom....I believe there is more to all this!

Grandma Sue, firstly West Milton has no crime and when something does happen Barney is all over it, when he is awakened by dispatch. Secondly, the crime in Dayton is overwhelming, but it is exceptional how much is solved without the help of witnesses and victims of the said crime; not to mention the small number of Police actually patrolling the streets of Dyton. The Police Force is down almost 150-200 Officers from just five years ago.

Silver Lining: This is a good co-op of schools. I like it when kids from different areas work together.

What Ilk are you speaking of "Bulldog?"
