CENTERVILLE — About 15 residents on Ridgeway and Lyons Road in Centerville will lose water service for a day while emergency repairs are made on a water main.
Montgomery County Water Services will be repairing the main on North Main Street, just north of Franklin Street starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 20.
The work should be completed by 5 p.m. Thursday.
Traffic on Main Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Martha Avenue and Irongate Park Drive. Traffic will also be affected at the intersection of Main Street and Franklin Street. About 15 homes on Ridgeway and Lyons Road will be without water while the repairs are being completed. Informational door hangers have been distributed to affected residences.
“We are making every attempt to minimize the disruption to our customers and to the traffic in the area,” said Greg Merrill, Water Services Director. “This repair is necessary to avoid future problems. We appreciate the patience and understanding of the public as we make these needed repairs.”
