DAYTON — The Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic of Public Health — Dayton and Montgomery County will be closed Thursday, Nov. 5.
It will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6.
It will close so staff there can assist with the H1N1 clinic being held for targeted groups from 2 to 7 p.m. (or until the vaccine is gone) Thursday at University of Dayton Arena.
The groups include:
• Pregnant women
• People who live with or provide care for infants under 6 months, including parents, siblings and day care providers.
• Health care and emergency medical services workers.
• People ages 6 months through 24 years.
• People ages 25 through 64 years who have chronic medical conditions such as lung or heart disease, diabetes, or other immuno-compromised conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications.
Both nasal spray and shot vaccines will be available at the start of the clinic. Public Health — Dayton and Montgomery County will broadcast important messages about the clinic on 1660 AM from 2 to 7 p.m.
Participants at the clinic will be required to complete a flu vaccination consent form, according to Public Health officials.
The form is available for download at phdmc.org and also will be available at the clinic. Vaccination consent forms also will be available at Montgomery County public libraries.
UD Arena is at 1801 Edwin C. Moses Blvd. Clinic participants should enter parking lot C, the entrance near Welcome Stadium.
