A Labor Day weekend wind storm that took out trees and power lines caused more than $67,000 in damages to Tipp City Schools’ facilities.

Gary Pfister, the facilities director, told the Board of Education recently he is working with the district’s insurer on claims for damage.

The damage primarily was to athletic facilities and fencing at LT Ball school off North Hyatt Street.
