FRANKLIN — A Franklin man, already residing in the Butler County Jail for an unrelated charge, will be charged today, May 28, by the Franklin Police Department for aggravated robbery in connection with an April 29 incident that occurred on the bike trail.

Seth Prater, 23, of 2850 Beal Road, is expected to be charged for his involvement in an aggravated robbery. Prater also has been charged with breaking and entering charge filed May 18 by Franklin police.

In the April 29 incident, the suspect — wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans — stopped the victim, who was walking on the bike trail, authorities said. The suspect then displayed a knife and threatened to harm the victim if the victim did not give him money, authorities said. The victim gave the suspect a small amount of cash and the suspect fled the scene.

The incident occurred on the bike trail about 150 feet south of the Warren/Montgomery County line in Franklin.
