ENGLEWOOD — A 17-year-old Clayton youth is listed in serious condition at Miami Valley Hospital today, Dec. 25, after crashing his car down an embankment off Main Street near Taywood Road about 9:30 a.m., police said.
The youth, identified as Kieran Popp of Clayton, was southbound on Main Street when his Chevrolet Equinox left the road, hit a tree and ended up in the brush, said Englewood Police Sgt. Mike Lang.
He was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
Lang said police don’t know how long Popp may have been inside the car before being spotted by a passing motorist. However, they do know that he left his job at The Waffle House in Englewood at about 6:30 a.m. this morning.
Lang said Popp’s seatbelt and airbag probably saved his life.
Popp is listed as a senior and a member of the wrestling team at Northmont High School on berecruited.com.
