DAYTON — A 13-month-old child struck by a car in the garage of his family’s home in Clayton on Saturday, Aug. 7, died from his injuries, a Montgomery County coroner’s investigator said.
Grady Winchester died at 9:38 p.m. Saturday at Children’s Medical Center of Dayton, coroner’s investigator Jim Fannin said Sunday. The child was inside the garage of his home in the 6300 block of Southway Road when he was struck, Fannin said.
A car pulling into the garage hit the child, Clayton police said. Police had no additional information to provide on Sunday.
CareFlight, the hospital helicopter emergency service, was called to the scene at about 5 p.m. Saturday.
