Traffic resumes after wreck in Xenia Twp.

XENIA TWP., Greene County — Dayton-Xenia Road at Hawkins Road, the scene of a two-vehicle wreck earlier today, has been reopened to through traffic, a police dispatcher said about 12:54 p.m.

Three people were taken to Greene Memorial Hospital following the wreck that was reported at about 10:30 a.m.

Traffic was be shut down while crews cleaned up debris and police investigated the accident.

According to police, a preliminary investigation suggests that a vehicle with two people inside traveling on Hawkins apparently pulled out in front of a silver car on Dayton-Xenia Road.

The second car had one person inside and tried to avoid the oncoming car, but was unable to avoid the collision.

All three were said to have suffered injuries not considered to be life threatening.

Police said they believe the driver of the first car was at fault.
