BEAVERCREEK — Two women were injured in a chain-reaction crash in Beavercreek that involved two cars and a tractor trailer.

The crash happened about 10:13 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, according to Police Sgt. Jim Wuebben.

A Chevrolet Impala was westbound on US 35 and moved from the right to left lane. A westbound Kenworth tractor trailer collided with the Impala, which then collided with a Volkswagen, also traveling west. The Volkswagen then also collided with the tractor trailer.

The female driver of the Impala and the female driver of the Volkswagen were taken to Miami Valley Hospital. Both of their conditions are unknown. The tractor trailer driver was not injured.

Westbound US 35 in the area of Factory Road remains closed while the investigation is conducted. The road was expected to reopen about 2:30 p.m.

The Impala reportedly switched lanes as a Beavercreek medic unit approached US 35 from Factory Road. The medic unit was not involved in the crash.

Anyone witnessing the crash is asked to contact the Beavercreek Police Department at 426-1225.
