LEBANON — Warren County’s 911 emergency service is back on track.

Sometime before 7 a.m. until about 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, anyone who called 911 from a Cincinnati Bell land line in Warren County may have experienced no audio, said Chris Carr, dispatcher and shift supervisor.

“We believe it was due to a contractor digging across the street,” he said.

A cable carrying fiber was cut by work crews, according to the county. Warren County’s 911 call center is located on Justice Drive.

The outage did not affect any other phone carrier or cell phone users, Carr said. The outage also affected the city of Franklin’s 911 center.

Wouldn't it make sense to have redundant cables from different directions coming into a 911 center?
