SOUTH LEBANON — The majority of this village was left without water Monday after a main broke and residents continued to complain of poor or nonexistent service Tuesday.
Crews were still working to deterring the exact location of the break on Tuesday afternoon, said village manager Robert Craig. He said the possible location had been isolated to a small triangle near the Little Miami River, along McKinley, Mary Ellen and King streets.
“It would have had to have been big to cause as much water loss as it did,” Craig said.
Craig said the water had backfilled elsewhere and residents not in the isolated triangle should all have water returned.
Craig did not give a time line as a to when the main would be fixed and water returned completely other than to say it would be “as soon as possible”
The village had to bring in special equipment to help fix the break.
A boil advisory has been issued for all homes in South Lebanon pending further notice. Residents are advised to boil any water used for cooking, drinking, or cleaning for at least two minutes before using.
Residents with any questions about the advisory should call the South Lebanon administration offices at (513) 494-2296
