A technical glitch has left viewers who receive their television signals through DIRECTV, DISH Network Corp. or regular antennas unable to see WHIO-TV, Channel 7, said Harry Delaney, the station’s vice president and general manager.
The station first began experiencing intermittent problems at about 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, Delaney said. By 1:30 p.m., the station stopped transmitting a signal through regular antennas and satellite providers, Delaney said. Cable television customers still should be receiving WHIO’s broadcast, however, he said.
The staff has not yet nailed down a cause for the transmission problems, he said.
“Engineers are working on it and we hope to restore full service as soon as possible and apologize for the inconvenience and disruption to their viewing,” Delaney said.
