Dayton skin care company expands

A Dayton-area skin care company has expanded from a one-room treatment office to a 1,300-square-foot clinic, offering more advanced treatments and specialized care, according to the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Skincare by Design will host a ribbon-cutting and open house Oct. 27 at 716 S. Dixie Drive in Vandalia.

Company founder Heidi Nelson’s vision is to offer anti-aging services and education to the northern Dayton region, which had no access to such services until Skincare by Design’s launch in 2011, chamber officials said.

Nelson also introduced the Hydrafacial MD, a popular skincare treatment, to Dayton in 2011.

The new expanded space will add a first-of-its-kind laser in the Dayton area, the GentleMax Pro Laser, which is used for advanced hair removal and elite skin treatments.

The open house from 4-8 p.m. on Oct. 27 will give guests the opportunity to explore Skincare by Design’s treatments and overall improvement to the space. The event will offer special pricing on treatments and products, raffles and food from area businesses.
