CEDARVILLE — More than 1,300 guests from around Ohio attended an ice cream social Sept. 20 at the Cedarville home of Ohio Attorney General candidate Mike DeWine and his wife, Fran.

The guests enjoyed a banjo band, barbershop quartet, a magician, clowns, sack races, three legged races and a pie-eating contest.

Fran DeWine enjoys the event because it brings together their friends and neighbors. “It’s the only time all year when we can welcome our friends from across the state into our home. Mike and I always look forward to this event.”

Young’s Dairy Farm in Yellow Springs provided the ice cream, and more than 150 fruit pies made by Fran and her friends were served.
