This time the attention is not focused on Paula Deen’s mouth, but the foot folks say she stuck in it.

The accused racist and cooking sensation might just land on cha cha-ing feet.

The Food Network, Kmart, Sears and JCPenney are among those to kick Deen to the curb, but word around the Interweb the last few days is that “Dancing With the Stars” wants Deen to compete.

The ABC show has asked Deen to appear in the past, according to reports.

She said she turned down a spot on the show in 2010.

“Fat girls don’t look good sweating. I’ve got catfish arms … And I’ve got — is that a muffin top right there?” she said according to the AJC.com, our sister website for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Talk that she has been asked again is just rumor at this point as far as I can tell.

Deen obviously has her fans and Dancing has had ratings-boosting controversial stars in the past (Joey Lawrence).

She thanked them from the bottom of her chicken-fried heart during her recent appearance on NBC’s Today show.

She also has many, many detractors who probably would not mind seeing her split her skirt or slip and break her rump roast.

It is a win win.

Here’s a little background:

Deen and her brother Budda Hiers are being sued by Lisa Jackson, a former manager of their restaurant, Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House.

Jackson alleges sexual harassment and a hostile work environment filled with racial slurs.

Deen admitted using a certain ‘N’ word that everyone knows is offensive 30-odd years ago when she was being robbed by a black man.

As an aside, I conducted a poll at the last Black America meeting I attended. The vote was almost unanimous. The word is offensive even when rappers use it. Only ignorant people use it. Don’t be stupid.

Jackson contend the word was used in 2007.

According to a deposition, Jackson in one incident asked Dean about waiter uniforms for Hiers’ wedding and Deen said the following:

“Well what I would really like is a bunch of little n—-s to wear long-sleeve white shirts, black shorts and black bow ties, you know in the Shirley Temple days, they used to tap dance around.” Paula Deen laughed and said “Now that would be a true southern wedding, wouldn’t it? But we can’t do that because the media would be on me about that.”

Deen oddly admits she wanted that style of dress, but maintains she only used the ‘N’ word that one time.

I’d like to believe her, but…

Some praise DWTS for perhaps, maybe rushing to save Paula, our Scarlet in the role of damsel, but it really doesn’t matter if she appears on the show in the long run.

Stop crying for Paula Deen.

She built a fortune on butter and will be tap dancing in the big house whether she lands a spot on the dance reality show or not.

In the same light, here’s a short list of people DWTS should also consider:

Don Imus

Aaryn ‘Hating on Black, gay and Asian people is Fun’ Gries

Tracy Morgan (he’ll say something else offensive soon)

Cornel ‘The Gays are Pushing Blacks to the Back of the Bus ’ West

Rachel ‘How is the word Cracker Offensive?’ Jeantel

Aaron Hernandez (he might be busy)

Carrie Prejean

Michael ‘Kramer’ Richards

North West (wouldn’t that be cute)
