Fairborn names 3 finalists for superintendent position

Fairborn City Schools announced Tuesday it has selected three finalists for the superintendent position.

The three finalists are:

  • Mark North, Superintendent, Lebanon City Schools
  • Kirk Koennecke, Principal, Marion Harding High School
  • Brad Ritchey, Director of School Improvement, Parma City Schools

The district is inviting the community to meet the finalists at 4:15 p.m. on the following dates at the Board of Education office, 306 E. Whittier Avenue: Mark North (Feb. 29); Kirk Koennecke (March 1); and Brad Ritchey (March 2).

Nine candidates were interviewed last week.

Terry Riley was appointed Fairborn interim superintendent in September after Dave Scarberry stepped aside due to health reasons.

The district’s goal is to hire a superintendent by March 17, with the new leader starting in June or July.
