Hear Picklesimer's 911 call to report carjacking

Jimmie Picklesimer called the Regional Dispatch Center shortly after the hit-and-run that killed a woman and her dog in Harrison Twp., saying his 1992 Chevrolet S-10 pickup was carjacked by an armed black man two blocks north of the crime scene. Picklesimer later told county deputies his assailant took his truck keys. Inconsistencies in his story and the discovery of the truck keys in his pocket drew the deputies’ attention. Picklesimer eventually admitted he hit Thompson and the dog. He said he fled the scene, fearing deputies would think he was intoxicated.
