2 injured after shooting in Hamilton

Hamilton police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured late Tuesday afternoon on Hanover Street.

Police received a call shorty after 5 p.m. stating two people had been shot in the 200 block of Hanover Street, according to Officer Kristy Collins.

“The call came in (Tuesday) at 5:22 p.m. and there were two victims who were shot,” Collins said.

The two people identified as victims are William Johnson, 33, who suffered minor injuries to his knee and 31-year-old Jermasio Bradford, who was shot in the buttocks. His injury was listed as serious by police.

Collins said police are not sure what type of firearm was used in the shooting and that “no one has been apprehended and the investigation is ongoing.”

It is also unclear if the shooting was related to the weekend homicide that took the life of Marlon Reed Sr., who was shot and killed in the 500 block of S. Front Street.
