Penn Station East Coast Subs — which got is start in Cincinnati in 1985 — has opened its 15th Dayton-area restaurant.

The latest Penn Station sub shop served its first customers Friday, Feb. 9, at 195 Hospitality Drive in Xenia. The new restaurant seats 42 and employs more than 20, a spokeswoman for Penn Station told this news outlet today.

“Dayton has been a great market for Penn Station, and we’re excited to bring the brand to Xenia,” Penn Station President Craig Dunaway said in a release. “We know Xenia residents will love our fresh grilled sandwiches and hand-cut fries.”

The Milford, Ohio-based Penn Station East Coast Subs offers grilled, made-to-order sub sandwiches, including the chain’s signature Philadelphia cheesesteak sandwich, along with cold deli sandwiches, fresh-cut fries, lemonade and chocolate chunk cookies baked daily in the restaurant. Penn Station offers eat-in dining, carry-out and catering.

Penn Station now has more than 310 locations in 15 states, and is targeting several cities, including Cleveland, for franchise growth in 2018, the chain’s officials said. 

The new Xenia restaurant’s hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
