Jim Schlarb was just 49 years old when his life was suddenly changed forever. “I was working in sales and marketing and my company had me travel to the U.S. Open (golf tournament) in Tulsa, Okla., in 2001,” Schlarb said. “It was a very hot day in June. I was very warm, and suddenly I couldn’t control one side of my face.”
