Students earn web design certification

Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) seniors Zaccheaus Allen, Jared Martin, and Hayley Quinn passed an industry exam and earned Certified Internet Web (CIW) Site Development Associate certification.

All digital design students learn front-end web development and design using instructor-led materials, along with the CIW Site Development Associate courseware.

This certification is typically pursued by adults working in the information technology industry. Students in the digital design class are given the option to take the certification exam.

Earning a certification improves their prospects in the high-demand Information Technology field, according to a MVCTC release. An industry certification can also be accepted as college credits at accepting institutions, such as Sinclair Community College, through prior learning assessment.
