The department wrote:

We are conducting water sampling in the affected area at this time. This boil advisory will remain in effect until the results of the water samples are obtained. When the water has been determined to be safe (coliform negative), we will issue an All Clear Advisory.

This is purely a precautionary measure. The likelihood of contamination occurring is extremely minimal.
