5 local people on why they are going to Trump inauguration

Local residents are among those who will be in Washington D.C. on Friday to watch Donald Trump be inaugurated. We spoke to a variety of area Trump fans who are going and here's what five had to say.

Kathy DeWeese is going with her son David, both of St. Paris

“We’re both Trump supporters and it’s a great opportunity to go support the leadership and be part of the festivities there.”

Preble County commissioner Rodney Creech, is going with his wife Preble County Recorder Jeanne Creech

“It could be one of the biggest days in our history. I just want to be there and look back and say many many years from now and say I was there.”

State Rep. Niraj Antani, R-Miamisburg

“I think it is a celebration of America, regardless of the party.”

Butler Twp. Trustee Nick Brusky, who just announced he’s resigning to join the Trump Administration.

“It’s very reminiscent of Andrew Jackson’s inauguration. There’s going to be a lot of people that are not part of the political elite.”

Clayton Councilman Kenneth Henning

“We’re all going to be enjoying seeing the peaceful transfer of power.”
