West Carrollton voters in 2013 approved a five-year, 0.25 percent income tax hike that will expire at the end of 2018. City officials say the move to keep the income tax at its current rate is needed due to projected budget shortfalls because of state action.
Council had discussed ballot issues previously but decided against the move.
