Local health network to announce opioid-free health care tool

Kettering Health Network said it plans to unveil a new tool in October to be used for opioid-free health care.

“As you know, we are facing an opioid epidemic locally and nationally. Over the years, the number of patients who have been prescribed high doses of long-acting narcotics has escalated,” the network said in a statement about the planned Oct. 2 announcement.
