Police search for suspects in Beavercreek Walgreens pharmacy burglary

BEAVERCREEK — City police are investigating a burglary at Walgreens on North Fairfield Road early Friday.

  • The pharmacy was the target of a breakin, according to police.
  • Surveillance video shows four people breaking in and going to the pharmacy.
  • Investigators will interview pharmacy employees to determine exactly what was stolen.

Beavercreek police were dispatched to Walgreens around 1:30 a.m. after the alarm was triggered.

“The alarm company was able to advise that they had visual on the pharmacy in which three suspects, at the time they thought was it was three, forced entry into the pharmacy,” said Sgt. Nick Amato, of the Beavercreek Police Department.

After reviewing video surveillance, police have determined four people were involved.

All units responded within about two minutes, Amato said. The suspects were gone before police arrived.

Investigators used K-9 to help search for the suspects, however the search was terminated after about 25 minutes. The rain may have been an issue.

Police believe the suspects left in a vehicle.
