SPRINGBORO

Memorial construction begins

Work has begun on the Veteran’s Memorial that will be located at Gardner Park, just off North Main Street (SR 741) behind the 5/3rd Bank area. The memorial, representing all five military branches, will consist of a central monument surrounded by walls, a walkway and a memorial grove of trees. Provided the weather cooperates during the construction, the memorial will be dedicated to the community by Memorial Day.

MIAMI TOWNSHIP

Temporary road closure

Montgomery County Environmental Services (MCES) will have restricted access at Southland Place from March 27-April 14, for water service work. MCES will oversee the closure and the safety of motorists and pedestrians.

WARREN COUNTY

Black Bag Bingo April 21

On April 22, the Warren County History Center, and Lebanon Conference and Banquet Center will host Black Bag Bingo for the chance to win designer handbags. There will be snacks, drinks, and a chance to see the exhibits. Doors open at 5 p.m. and bingo starts at 7 p.m. in the Lebanon Conference and Banquet Center, 121 S. Broadway. Please check-in at the history center, 105 S. Broadway first.

Participants must be 21 or older to play. Tickets are $35 and must be purchased in advance at www.wchsmuseum.org/events. You will receive 20 bingo cards with your ticket. Dobbers are available for $1 donation. More bingo cards will be available to purchase at the event.

There will also be a split-the-pot raffle and other prizes.

This is a joint fundraiser for the Lebanon Warrior Baseball team and the Warren County Historical Society.

LEBANON

Business Expo March 25

On March 25 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a business expo at the Lebanon High School, located at 1916 Drake Road. Local business and service providers will be on hand to share their products, services and talents with the community. A host of offerings will be available to all who attend. The expo is free and open to the public.

This annual event is held in conjunction with Lebanon Rotary Club’s Pancake Breakfast. Breakfast hours are from 7-11:30 a.m. Cost is $6 per adult and $4 per child.
