Community Halloween party Oct. 31

On Oct. 31 from 8-9:30 p.m. the city will hold a Community Halloween Party in Wax Park after Beggars Night. There will be free hot dogs, pop and snacks plus music and a costume contest for all ages.

The costume contest starts at 8:10 with each age group following immediately after each other in this order: ages 3 and under; ages 4-6; ages 7-9; ages 10-15, ages 16-21, ages 22 and up under. Prizes for the costume contest winners

WEST CARROLLTON

Costume Parade and Monster Mash Oct. 27

The annual Costume Parade and Monster Mash event will be held Oct. 27 from 6-8 p.m. at the West Carrollton Civic Center.

Festivities include costumes, pumpkins, hayrides, carnival games, prizes and food.

The costume parade will line-up at 5:45 p.m. in front of the West Carrollton Middle School at 424 E. Main St. and concludes on the front lawn of the Civic Center, where the Lion’s Club judges costumes and awards prizes in several age groups.

Dogs Can Sniff-A-Treat Oct. 29

On Oct. 29 beginning at 11:30 a.m., the West Carrollton parks and recreation department will host a “Sniff-A-Treat” event for dogs and their owners at Hintermeister Park at 1300 Mayrose Dr.

Dog treats will be hidden throughout the park for dogs to sniff out.There will also be a costume contest for the dogs.

Admission is free. All dogs must remain on leashes during the event.

LEBANON

Municipal service worker needed

The city is accepting applications for the full-time position of municipal service worker in the Division of Streets. The position involves a wide range of maintenance activities including roadway repair, pavement striping, traffic control, traffic signage installation, event support, and snow plow operations. This position will also assist with parks maintenance operations when necessary. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Applicants must possess, or have the ability to promptly obtain, a valid Ohio Class A Commercial Driver’s License. This position requires knowledge of construction related equipment. Candidates must be able to perform periodic paid scheduled standby duties requiring reporting to work within 30 minutes of being paged. Applications may be obtained at the Lebanon City Building, 50 S. Broadway, or downloaded at www.lebanonohio.gov and returned to the personnel department.
