Teen breakout event set for Feb. 25

Breakout of the Library – Teen Edition will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Feb. 25 at Centerville Library, 111 W. Spring Valley Road.

This is an after-hours program where participants find hidden clues and solve puzzles to escape the library before time is up. This is geared toward sixth- through 12th- grade students. Light snacks will be provided.

Monday Music held each week

The Monday Music Fest is celebrating its 17th year. Music will be played from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Centerville Library, 111 W. Spring Valley Road.

Matthew Ball will perform boogie woogie on Feb. 27.

KETTERING

Free Friday group classes to be held soon

The Kettering Recreation Complex, 2900 Glengarry Drive, offers free group exercise classes the first Friday of each month. The next free day will be held March 3.

All classes are open to the public.

Dr. Seuss nature celebration set

An open house style event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. March 4 the Habitat Environment Center, 3036 Bellflower St.

Families are welcome to participate in hands-on games and activities to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Nature Celebration. This event is free and open to the public.

Kids can also explore, The Lorax, a Dr. Seuss book that encourages taking care of the environment.

OAKWOOD

Lego event slated for Feb. 26

Let’s Go Lego will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 26 at Wright Memorial Public Library, 1776 Far Hills Ave.

This is a free play event to encourage building with Legos and Duplos and imaginative building.

Parents are also encouraged to participate. The program is cleared toward kids ages two to 12 years old.

Coloring pages and books will also be available.

Blood drive scheduled for March 30

A community blood drive will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. March 30 at the Washington Twp. Fire Department headquarters, 8320 McEwen Road.

Donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. A photo ID is required before donating.

Walks in are welcome.
