CENTERVILLE

Ombudsman class set for March 30

Lawrence “Chip” Wilkins will speak from 1-2 p.m. March 30 at Centerville Library, 111 W. Spring Valley Road.

Wilkins is the director of the Ombudsman’s long-term care office. He will explain how the office verifies and resolve complaints from nursing homes, assisted facilities, home care assisting companies and more.

Other topics include guardianship versus power of attorney.

KETTERING

Free spring skate at rec center

A free spring skate will be held from 1-3 p.m. April 1 at the Kettering Recreation Complex, 2900 Glengarry Drive.

The goal is to celebrate ice skating and hockey, and promote the Learn to Skate USA program.

Free Friday classes to be held soon

The Kettering Recreation Complex, 2900 Glengarry Drive, offers free group exercise classes the first Friday of each month. The next free day will be April 7.

Underwater Easter event set for April 2

An underwater Easter egg hunt will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 2 at the Kettering Recreation Complex.

This is geared toward children 4 and older.

The pool will be divided by age and ability. Kids can search for eggs and turn them in for candy and prizes. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance and craft games will be available.

Participants must be able to swim and must be accompanied by an adult.

The cost is $5 for residents and $7 for nonresidents. For more information, call 937-296-2587.

Tech tutoring held at library

Wright Memorial Public Library, 1776 Far Hills Ave., will host tech tutoring April 5, April 12, April 19 and April 26. Appointments are available throughout the day.

A one-on-one training session will be available with a research librarian to help build technical skills, learn new software, find apps, understand a new device and more.

Baby Storytime at Wright Memorial

Baby Storytime will be held from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. April 10 at Wright Memorial Public Library, 1776 Far Hills Ave.

This program is geared toward children up to 18 months old. Siblings are welcome to attend as well.

Kids will participate in finger plays, stories and rhymes.
