Sing-a-long at Hayner

The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center will host a free Christmas Carol Sing-a-long Dec. 8 from 7-9 p.m. Rachael Boezi, the Troy First United Methodist Church Choir and the Troy First United Church of Christ Choir will share music. David Fair will have holiday decorating tips. The first session will be from 7:15 to 8 p.m., the second session from 8:15-9 p.m. Tickets will be given out beginning at 7 p.m. Dec. 8.

Forgiveness offered

The Troy-Miami County Public Library will offer a fine forgiveness program for cardholders through Dec. 31. Grant for safety units

The Miami County commissioners on Nov. 21 accepted a $3,000 grant from the Miami County Foundation to help buy three automated external defibrillator units to be placed in the Safety Building, Courthouse and the Hobart Center for county government.

Volunteer training set

An Ohio State University Master Gardener Volunteer Program training will be offered to residents of Miami and surrounding counties between Feb. 6 and March 29. Ornaments program topic

Night hike set

The Miami County Park District will hold a Souper-Walk Dec. 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Stillwater Prairie Reserve, 9750 Ohio 185, Covington. A nighttime hike through the woods will be followed by a fire and hot cup of soup. Hikers are encouraged to bring a can of soup for donation.
